LEC 2022 Spring’s normal season has ended with the last fifteen games played in week 8. After nearly two months of competition, the teams that qualified for the playoffs became clear. MAD Lions, the champion of last year, surprised everyone by failing to make it through the playoffs due to its poor performance throughout the season. Rogue
Undoubtedly, Rogue was the best team of LEC 2022 Spring and the best option for esports betting lovers. From the beginning, the team dominated the league in a fashionable way with its great tactics and individual talents. Not giving up a single loss in the first half of the season, Rogue showed some weaknesses in the second half by losing four games in total. But, this record was enough for it to take first place and an easy playoff ticket.
Fnatic
Fnatic came into this season with serious changes, bringing Wunder, Humanoid, and Razork to the roster. Even though these names looked powerful on paper, they needed some time to increase their in-game chemistry. After spending some time together, the roster became one of the strongest teams in the league, placing second place with five losses right after Rogue.
Misfits Gaming
Misfits was one of the surprise teams in the European League of Legends scene. Despite not containing any superstar in its roster, the team managed to upset its opponents and displayed a solid presence. Winning twelve games out of eighteen, Misfits is coming to the playoffs as a serious contender for the trophy.
G2 Esports
G2 was another team that changed a big part of its roster. With new faces, BrokenBlade, Flakked, and Targamas, the roster was able to take over fourth place with eleven victories. Even though the roster performed sloppily towards the end of the season, the victories it took in the early period saved its playoff hopes.
Excel
Inconsistency is the best word to describe Excel’s journey in LEC 2022 Spring. The team didn’t experience any long win or lose streaks, finding a W shortly after getting a loss. With a 50% success rate, Excel grabbed the playoff ticket although it had upsetting results against better teams.
Team Vitality
All eyes were on Team Vitality throughout the season as it created a super team, bringing the legendary Perkz, Carzzy, Selfmade, and Alphari. However, this wasn’t a fairytale and everything didn’t occur as expected. Everyone started to doubt the roster after it started the season with three consecutive losses. Recovering quickly, Vitality performed better the rest of the first half and put itself in a better position. Regardless of the bad performance in the last week, Vitality succeeded in taking the last ticket for the playoff.
LEC 2022 Spring Playoffs will feature double-bracket. While the top four teams play in the winners’ bracket, the fifth and the sixth teams will start the event in the losers’ bracket. The winner of the tournament, which will be played as best-of-fives, will represent Europe at MSI 2022. Here’s the bracket of the playoff:
