The second week of VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 2 Challengers has ended already. In the week that nearly all favorites managed to win their games, there were no shocking results for VALORANT betting followers. As it’s still the early stage of the event, teams that made great preparation in the off-season had decent starts to the tournament.
As always, this week featured six games in total too. Three matches from Group A and three matches from Group B took place and brought high level VALORANT. At the end of the week, Fnatic and Team Liquid claimed first places in their group. Here are the results:
BBL Esports – Team Liquid
Similar to last week, BBL Esports opened the action in the second week. This time, they came up against European giant Team Liquid. The first map of the series was Francture, where both teams put enormous struggles. Team Liquid were the side which began the match well, but BBL managed to catch them then.
After an hour-long competition, Liquid succeeded in closing the game and won with 16-14. Second map, Split, was more sided than the first one. Even though the score was close, Liquid controlled the match and as a result, they won it 13-9.
Fnatic – OG LDN UTD
Second week of VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 2’s was disastrous for OG LDN UTD. After rebranding themselves, OG haven’t found a victory in the league yet. In addition, they couldn’t show any presence and had a shocking result against Fnatic.
Like in EMEA Stage 1, Fnatic had a fantastic start with their two new additions. Alfajer and Enzo carried the team one step ahead as it seems. The European powerhouse upset its opponent in both maps easily, winning Haven 13-4 and Icebox 13-0. This result made them take first place in Group A.
FunPlus Phoenix – G2 Esports
After the undesired loss in the first week, FPX recovered against G2 Esports. The CIS team that had many problems in Stage 1, wanted to continue its streak. However, they faced a loss against Fnatic.
On the other hand, G2 Esports came up against one of the new faces of the league, FOKUS, in the first week. Even though they had tough times, G2 were able to take their first victory. That being said, the European team couldn’t maintain its record against FPX. ANGE1 and his friends beat G2 2-0 and got their first W.
Guild Esports – BIG
BIG continues to get poor results. The Germany-based organization, which succeeded in making it to the league last season, could not play the game it wanted. The team, who barely escaped relegation in Stage 1, started Stage 2 with two losses. Although they played better this week, the team needs to win the next games.
Guild Esports, on the other hand, maintained their strong stance, making esports betting fans happy. In the first week they had a convincing win over the mighty M3 Champions. Now, they have taken an advantageous position by defeating BIG. The Guild had a similar start in the last tournament and then lost momentum. Let’s see if they do the same.
Natus Vincere – M3 Champions
On the last day of the week, the two CIS teams with a single loss faced each other. Although the score was 2-1 in favor of M3 Champions, the results of the maps were one-sided. This shows that both teams are having problems with the map pool. However, in the end, Chronicle and his friends defeated Na’Vi and got their first win.
FOKUS – Acend
Geçtiğimiz hafta OG LDN UTD’i mağlup eden takım, skorunu 2-0’a getirmeyi başardı.
The new team of the league, FOKUS, tested their limits against the 2021 Champion Acend. The team, which showed good performances in the first two weeks of the tournament, could not meet with a victory. On the other hand, Acend won consecutive wins unlike last season. Having defeated OG LDN UTD last week, the team managed to bring the score to 2-0.
VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 2 Challengers will continue with 3rd week matches on May 27.
