The long-awaited VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 2 has finally begun. Although there were surprise results for esports betting in the first week, where 6 matches were played in total, the favorites generally managed to win. Here are the results of the first week and summaries of the matches.
BBL Esports – Natus Vincere
In the opening match of Stage 2, the two teams that also competed in Stage 1 came face to face. The competition started from the first game of the season. BBL Esports won the series leading to map three with a near-perfect comeback. QutionerX, the duelist player of the Turkish team, led his team to the victory with 78 kills.
OG LDN UTD – Acend
In the second match of the first day, formerly LDN UTD made its debut with its new look. Its opponent was Acend, who did not have a great time last season and made more than one change in its squad in the off-season. Despite not having much time to practice after the changes, Acend won the match 2-0.
Fnatic – FunPlus Phoenix
The most anticipated match of the week extended to the third map, making the VALORANT betting fans happy. Everyone was wondering how Fnatic would perform after adding two new names to their roster in the off-season. And the new member of the team, the young player Alfajer, enchanted everyone. With a total of 62 kills, he helped Fnatic win the series 2-1.
Team Liquid – BIG
Team Liquid had to start the first week of Stage 2 without a coach. The former coach of the team, Sliggy, recently announced that he was leaving the coach role by tweeting. After that, the European giant, which has little time, has not yet added any coach to its staff. But despite this, they were not challenged by BIG. The Liquid players all excelled and won the series 2-0.
G2 Esports – FOCUS
G2 Esports faced FOKUS, the new name of the league, in the first game of the season. FOKUS, who came here by winning the German regional league and the Promotion tournament, showed a very good game against his strong opponent. However, their minor mistakes prevented them from winning the match. Although it wasn’t a decent start for G2 Esports, they managed to win this difficult series.
Guild Esports – M3 Champions
The closing match of the week surprised everyone. No one was surprised by Guild’s winning the series, but the poor performance of the M3 Champions. The CIS representative made mistakes on many points and was not able to play as it wanted. Guild Esports, on the other hand, did a near-perfect job of blocking their opponent’s games and won the series 2-0.
