LCS Summer 2022 – How the regular season finished

The regular season of the LCS Summer 2022, the LCS Summer 2022 with the lowest viewership in recent years, which caused the “League of Legends is dying in North America” conversations, has come to an end for LoL betting. With different rules than other LoL leagues, the top 8 teams made it to the playoffs instead of the top 6. In the group stage, where each team played 18 matches in total, Evil Geniuses took first place with 15 wins. Dignitas and Immortals were the only two teams left out of the playoffs.

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses continues to dominate the league with their young squad. Last season, they reached the championship with a great lower-bracket journey. This season, they kept things tight from the start and won the group stage. Their three losses came against close rivals 100 Thieves, Cloud9 and Team Liquid.

100 Thieves

100 Thieves has been struggling with the same roster for a long time. After acquiring all of the Golden Guardians players, they have become one of the most important teams in the league, winning back-to-back victories. Although they stumbled from time to time, they performed well this season as well. They finished second in the regular season with 14 wins.

Team Liquid

Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves were undoubtedly the best teams of the season and had a slight edge over the other teams. Right on the heels of this gap came Team Liquid. Although the team showed resilience against every team in the league and picked up wins, they lost games they shouldn’t have and had to settle for third place.

Counter Logic Gaming

CLG is one of the teams building on last season. Their young roster has grown and developed after their first season in the competition. The fruits of this improvement came in the form of a playoff appearance this time around. The team, which managed to beat every team in the league at least once except C9, has a great potential to surprise. It will be fun to watch them in the playoffs.

LCS Summer 2022 - How the regular season finished

Cloud9

Cloud9 has been far from the top for a couple of seasons now. Despite finishing second in the regular phase of the Spring season, they couldn’t quite perform in the playoffs and ended up fourth. They also remained in fifth place due to their up and down performances.

FlyQuest

FlyQuest continues to show a stable play. After finishing last season with 9 wins, the team finished this group stage in sixth place with 10 wins. Led by aphromoo, one of the most experienced players in the league, they managed to get the necessary wins and will try to surprise in the playoffs.

TSM

If this was a regular league, TSM would have been left out of the LCS Summer 2022 Playoffs. After the worst season in history, the organization has had a terrible start to this season which surprised esports betting fans. The club, one of the biggest organizations in the scene and one of the most important teams in LCS history, narrowly made the playoffs this season with 6 wins.

Golden Guardians

The other team that narrowly made it to the playoffs is Golden Guardians. Unlike TSM, they don’t have an ambitious roster on paper. Although they have good players individually, they have not managed to become a team. Despite this, they managed to beat two of their opponents and advance to the next round.

LCS Summer 2022 will continue with playoffs and the top 3 teams will qualify for Worlds 2022.
