Week five of the European professional League of Legends league LEC 2022 Summer has ended and the end of the regular season is one step closer for LoL betting fans. After last week’s results, the playoff race has heated up. All teams except the last team in the league, Team BDS, have a chance to make the playoffs and their results in the last weeks will be crucial. Here are the results and recap of the week:

Team BDS
BDS continues to be by far the worst team in the league. With only 1 win in the entire league, the team played very poorly this week and ended the week with 2 losses. They are at the bottom of the league with a 1-10 record.
SK Gaming
Until last week, SK Gaming were suffering the same fate as Team BDS. The team, which had only 1 win before the 2-week break, first got 2 wins last week. They then closed this week with a single win and joined the playoff race.
Misfits Gaming
Misfits couldn’t carry last season’s success to this season and started the league badly. After back-to-back losses, they picked themselves up and went on a 5-game winning streak. However, that streak ended with two losses this week.
Fnatic
With two losses in week five, Fnatic’s playoff chances are in jeopardy and they are out of contention at the top of the league. The team that was previously fighting for the top spot is now out of the playoff picture and must win their matches in the coming weeks to make esports betting fans happy.
Astralis
Astralis finally put their winless season behind them. They have reorganized ahead of the LEC 2022 Summer and are currently competing for a playoff spot with their new roster. They have 5 wins in total and finished this week with 1 win and 1 loss.
Team Vitality
Vitality are one of the teams in the middle of the league. While they continue to chase the top, they are also breathing down the necks of the teams below them. They have 6 wins in total and an unwanted loss could change the whole season for them.
G2 Esports
After a good start to the league, G2 Esports entered a period of stagnation. After weeks of struggling, the squad finally found back-to-back wins in week 5. They increased their total number of wins to 6, and got some relief from the bottom of the league.
Excel
After leading the league in the first few weeks, Excel slowed down a bit. Especially the 2 losses they suffered last week set them back a bit, but this week they recovered by winning both games. They are now just behind the leader with 7 wins.
Rogue
Rogue lost the lead from Excel to MAD Lions after this week’s loss to G2. They closed the week with 1 win and 1 loss and shared the first place with MAD with a total of 8 victories.
MAD Lions
The back-to-back champions of 2021 managed to get back on top after a bad 2022 Spring season. Especially after the mid laner change, the squad harmonized and with two wins this week, they extended their streak to 4 games and became the leader.
LEC 2022 Summer will continue on July 29 with the sixth week of matches.
