OpTic continued where they left off. The North American team, which became the Stage 1 Masters champion, managed to maintain its performance in Stage 2 and finished Group B in first place with 4 wins and 1 loss.

FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan’s VCT adventure has not been very heartwarming in both years. But the team succeeded this time. With 3 wins and 2 losses, the team finished Group B in second place with an average difference.

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses are among the teams that have improved well compared to the previous stage. Finishing Stage 1 as the last, the team gained good momentum thanks to the addition to its roster. In the end, they made it to the playoffs with 3 wins and 2 losses.

Ghost Gaming

Qualifying for the main stage at the very last second, Ghost Gaming proved how strong they are in the group stage. The team got four victories and only one loss in Group A, finishing in second place right after XSET.

100 Thieves

The hottest name of the North American scene, 100 Thieves made huge moves in the off-season after the disappointing result in Stage 1. Changing most of the roster and staff, 100T reached the playoffs which they missed recently.

NRG Esports

With the latest rule change of VCT 2022 North America Stage 2, NRG Esports barely managed to qualify for the playoffs. Taking the forth place in Group A, the team were able to win only two games, but that was enough for the next stage.

Luminosity

Luminosity are among the teams that returned to the knockout stage of VCT. The team had three victories along the way and claimed fourth place in Group B, right above Cloud9. Despite the shaky performance, Luminosity succeeded in winning crucial games.

Cloud9

Following the undesired ending in Stage 1, Cloud9 fell apart more in Stage 2. They were among the best teams in the previous stage, but their performance decreased a lot. At the end, they could only win two games which wasn’t enough for them to qualify for the playoffs. They have already missed two international events and will fight in LCQ for Champions 2022.

The Guard

The Guard experienced a similar journey with Cloud9. Being second place team in Stage 1, The Guard couldn’t find what they were looking for in Stage 1 Masters and got eliminated without getting a single victory. The downfall continued in this stage as they only won a single series and were pushed out of the playoffs.

TSM

Consecutive unsuccessful results pushed TSM to make serious changes on the roster. These alterations gave them an access to the main stage which they had been missing for a long time. However, being a new team was easily punished by the teams and TSM had to settle with only one victory.

Sentinels

When it comes to collapse, Sentinels are the main actor of the story. Dominating early 2021 with championships, the organization hasn’t been stopping themselves from falling since late 2021 and make esports betting fans sad. Such that, they didn’t get a single win in Group B and missed the playoffs.

VCT 2022 North America Stage 2 will continue with playoffs on June 16.
