VCT 2022 Stage 2 EMEA Challengers action continued last week. The tournament showed pleasant matches to the VALORANT betting followers with the third week matches. In the week of a total of six series, Fnatic continued their undefeated streak, while BBL Esports had their playoff hopes challenged. Here is the summary of the matches.

Team Liquid – Guild Esports

In the opening match of the week, the two big teams of Europe came face to face. Guild had a fantastic start to Stage 2 with two wins. In addition to winning the matches, the team enchanted everyone with its performance. Before the match, both teams had two victories and this match was important for the group leadership.

Contrary to expectations, the first map was one-sided. The first map of the series was Liquid’s choice, Split, and Guild Esports crushed their opponent and won 13-3. In the next map Liquid managed to come back. At the end of the 45-minute fight, they won the map 13-6 and equalized the series. In the last map, Fracture, Guild secured their dominance with a score of 13-4. With this score, they secured the playoffs.

OG LDN UTD – G2 Esports

In the last series of the first day, OG LDN UTD took a surprise win and made esports betting fans happy. Surprising with their performance at the last Stage, G2 Esports are not that effective in this tournament. We visited Ascent as the first map of the series and at the end of the close match, OG managed to win 13-9.

The answer was not delayed. G2 Esports did not allow for an easy win, and Breeze evened the situation by winning 13-10. There was a great fight in the last game of the series. Both teams needed this win very much and this increased the enjoyment of the match. But in the end, OG LDN UTD 13-11 won and took the point.

BIG – Natus Vincere

Entering the third week, neither team had a win. BIG, which performed very badly in the previous stage, now wanted to correct this trend. However, Natus Vincere did not allow it. Although BIG started the series by winning the first map, they were unable to maintain their dominance.

Na’Vi first tied the score by winning Ascent. They then finished the job on the final map, Haven. They won 13-7 and got their first win in the group. BIG, on the other hand, ruined their VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 2 Challengers playoffs dreams with their third defeat and continued their poor performances.

Acend – Fnatic

Acend and Fnatic faced off in one of the most anticipated matches of the week. Both squads had made various squad changes before the league started, and everyone was wondering how these changes would turn out. Both teams started the league well with two wins, but Fnatic were the better in terms of  game style.

The first map of the series was Ascent, chosen by Acend. Although Ascent chose the map, it was Fnatic who made the show. The European giant won the map 13-4 and brought the series to 1-0. Right after, Acend got off to a good start on map two. But that wasn’t enough to stop Fnatic. They managed to come back and won the game 13-8 and the series 2-0.

BBL Esports – M3 Champions

On the last day of the week, Turkish representative BBL Esports tested their limits against their strong rival M3 Champions. The first map of the series, Fracture, started close but proved the difference in the second half, M3 Champions won the match 13-8.

The last map of the series, Breeze, was completely one-sided. All of BBL Esports’ attacks failed and M3 Champions had the upper hand. In the end, the CIS representative won the match without difficulty 13-5.

FOCUS – FunPlus Phoenix

In the last match of the week, the powerful FunPlus Phoenix took the stage against FOKUS, the new face of the league. FOKUS experienced the same misfortune that they had in the previous matches, and lost the first map 13-11 with minor mistakes.

FOKUS was dropped from the game right after the effort did not pay off. FPX, who managed to take advantage of this weakness, almost dominated the second map of the series and won 13-1.

VCT 2022 Stage 2 EMEA Challengers will continue with week 4 matches on June 3.
