Streaming can be big money – at least for those lucky few that can amass millions of views and subscribers. Sadly, streaming remains a casual hobby for most – but those who make it big can make it BIG. Here is a list of the top richest streamers you can find on Twitch and YouTube, ranked by their net worth.
1. PewDiePie – $20 million
Controversial as though he is, the YouTube and Twitch streamer from Sweden has bee active for over a decade now, and over this time has amassed more than a hundred million followers on both streaming platforms. What makes it even more impressive is that, despite being one of the richest YouTubers out there, streaming isn’t his only occupation. He’s also active in esports, advertising and several other things – that’s how he managed to amass millions before the age of 30.
2. Ninja – $10 million
Twitch streamer Ninja has had a long and successful career in gaming and later streaming. He’s one of the most well-known streamers in the world, and has even had cameos in lots of games, with characters, skins and items fashioned after him. It’s no wonder then that he’s managed to increase his net worth to more than $10 million. The now-30 year old made his beginning playing Halo 3 competitively, but later focused on streaming – with more than 16 million followers on Twitch, he holds the record for the most-followed account on the whole platform.
3. TimTheTatman – $6.5 million
Another one of the richest Twitch streamers is TimTheTatman. The American is one of the most popular names on Twitch since his start in 2012. Currently boasting more than 6.5 million followers, he particularly streams competitive games like Overwatch, CS:GO and Fortnite, but also WoW. He’s been streaming full-time since 2014, and has even been featured in events like the Gamers’ Choice Awards, where he won ‘Fan Favourite Male Streamer of the Year’ in 2018. He’s also had a cameo in a Super Bowl Commercial in 2019.
4. NightBlue3 – $6 million
A little less well-known than the top 3 of this list, NightBlue3 is another one of the richest YouTubers out there. He’s a member of TSM and spent considerable amounts of time playing League of Legends. In fact, he’s considered the best Jungler in North America, and, as such, is well-deserving of his almost 2 million followers on both Twitch and YouTube.
5. Syndicate – $5 million
Although he does more than just stream games, Syndicate is one of the top rich streamers out there. He streams Call of Duty – particularly Black Ops – both on Twitch and YouTube. He’s no longer as active as he used to be, but still has more than 3 million followers on Twitch alone. He’s got several different deals with various clothing brands and even gaming brand Razer, all of which contribute to his net worth, of course.
6. Shroud – $4 million
Some may be surprised that popular player shroud isn’t higher on this list of the top richest streamers. Alas, his net worth is ‘only’ about $4 million. He’s one of the most well-known and popular streamers out there, streaming primarily shooters like Black Ops 4, Call of Duty, and Apex. He also streams games like World of Warcraft and Conan Exiles. He has more than 9.3 million followers on his Twitch profile alone, and is part of several different partnerships with brands like Logitech, Nitrado, and more.
7. PhantomLord – $4 million
One of the more controversial entries on this list, PhantomLord doesn’t exactly have a clean history despite being one of the richest Twitch streamers. He left streaming for a while, after a streamers betting scandal in 2017. He has since returned, after fighting a lawsuit on the matter that cost him several million. No doubt this also hurt his net worth a little – had it not been for his scandal, he would likely have placed much higher on the list. He is definitely still one of the top richest streamers out there.
